M.D.C. Holdings, Inc. , whose subsidiaries build homes under the name "Richmond American Homes," today announced the appointment of Bill Pizor to president of the Company's Tampa division.
Mr. Pizor has nearly 20 years of homebuilding experience in the Tampa market. He was most recently the vice president of operations at KB Home.
"We are very excited about our expansion into West Florida and are confident that Bill's experience working with the local business community will help Richmond American establish a strong presence in the Tampa market," said David D. Mandarich, MDC's president and chief operating officer. "His expertise in general operations management and his leadership abilities make him the ideal choice to guide our efforts in Tampa."
The Company is pursuing land acquisitions throughout the five-county area that are expected to produce home closings in 2005.
"I am thrilled about this opportunity to build a division from the ground up," said Pizor. "My passion for this business and the community here, coupled with Richmond American's reputation for excellent design, construction and customer service, gives us the right foundation for success in the Tampa market."
