The 2013 Notes will be issued pursuant to an effective shelf registration statement and are being offered by means of the Prospectus included in the registration statement and the related Prospectus Supplement. The Company also announced that it will redeem all of its outstanding 8 3/8% Senior Notes due 2008 (the "2008 Notes") on May 28, 2003. The 2008 Notes are redeemable by the Company at 104.188% of their principal amount, or approximately $182.3 million, plus accrued and unpaid interest through the date of redemption. The redemption will be funded using cash on hand and funds available under the Company's homebuilding line of credit. Holders of the 2008 Notes will receive by mail a Notice of Redemption setting forth the redemption procedures.
